Are you going to a new lavish Year’s Party? Maybe you’re celebrating with a few close friends at a local restaurant. Perhaps your New Year’s Eve plans sit somewhere in between the two. No worries.
Ahead are 5 stylish New Year’s outfit ideas for every occasion.
New Year’s Party Outfit Idea #1
There are few things more comfortable than baggy denim. To pull off this look, make sure your baggy denim fits snug at the waist and loose everywhere else. Distressed denim is not necessary. But the distressing does add to the overall relaxed ‘cool-girl’ feel of the denim.
Elevate your baggy denim with a fun sequin top and matching heels. This New Year’s outfit is the perfect understated fashion forward look. It’s great for those casual New Year’s Eve get-togethers.
New Year’s Party Outfit Idea #2
Striped dress pants are not just for the office. Take the ‘corporate’ out of the average dress pants by pairing them with ultra-trendy pieces.
The embellished shirt looks so cute with this pair of pleated striped dress pants. But it’s really the shiny shoes that make this look ready for any New Year’s Eve celebration.
The outfit idea is both classy and edgy.
New Year’s Party Outfit Idea #3
The sequin dress is a tried-and-true New Year’s Eve party look. You really can’t go wrong with a sequin dress. The trick to pulling off this much sequins is pairing it with neutral pieces.
I opted for a cute pair of over knee suede boots and a fur coat. The coat and boots are not just for style. These pieces will make withstanding the bitter December/January cold a little more bearable.
New Year’s Party Outfit Idea #4
This New Year’s Eve outfit is one of my most complimented looks ever. And it’s probably the easiest looks I’ve put together for myself. I wore the blazer by itself. And used temporary adhesive to ensure the blazer stayed in place. I then accessorized with a long chain necklace.
To make the look a little more family appropriate, simply wear a black shirt under the blazer.
Make sure your sequin pants are fully lined for maximum comfort. Unlined sequin pants can be a bit itchy. Consider yourself warned.
New Year’s Party Outfit Idea #5
Ring in the New Year wearing an embellished jumpsuit. Jumpsuits are like dresses: they’re one and done. But, unlike dresses you don’t have worry about showing your legs. I wore a jumpsuit to an upscale dinner party. And I’ve been in love with jumpsuits ever since.
Jumpsuits are the full proof way to always looking good. You’ll look like you put a ton of effort into your look, even though jumpsuits are effortless. I prefer jumpsuits with a long-hidden zipper. This simplifies the process of using the restroom.
